Of all Chevrolet Aveo modifications produced from 2003 to 2015 real fuel consumption according to user ratings is approximately 27% higher compared to advertised consumption. For petrol engines real consumption is in average 21% higher, but for diesel engines is approximately 32% higher. Starting from 2003 Chevrolet Aveo average difference between actual owner-reported fuel consumption and stated consumption was significantly higher than average, at 2011 it was slightly above industry average, at 2013 difference became similar to average and finally at 2015 difference between owner-reported and advertised fuel economy became less than industry average.
