Starting from 1990 Toyota Celica average difference between actual owner-reported fuel consumption and stated consumption was significantly higher than average, at 1995 it was less than industry average, at 2000 difference became similar to average and finally at 2001 difference between owner-reported and advertised fuel economy became less than industry average.
