Mazda 6 fuel consumption

Of all Mazda 6 modifications produced from 2002 to 2021 real fuel consumption according to user ratings is approximately 17% higher compared to advertised consumption. For petrol engines real consumption is in average 13% higher, but for diesel engines is approximately 22% higher. Starting from 2002 Mazda 6 average difference between actual owner-reported fuel consumption and stated consumption was less than industry average, at 2006 it was similar to average, at 2018 difference between owner-reported and advertised fuel economy became less than industry average.
